More than 200 people showed up for the James Beard Public Market Potato Party at The Heathman Hotel in downtown Portland. Oregon Potato Commission's featured farmer is Cody Fazio. Here's his statement introducing himself and telling the OPC a bit about his farm: " My name is Cody Fazio. I'm a fourth generation potato farmer with my two brothers. We farm on Sauvie Island, which is 20 minutes from downtown Portland. My great grandfather started the farm out here in 1948.
