Potato Expo took place Jan 4-5th, 2023
If you were able to attend, thanks for joining us at the Largest Potato Industry Trade Show in North America! The Potato Expo is where the potato community will gather to reconnect, collaborate and join together in moving the industry forward— This year it was live in Colorado! The Potato Expo, the largest conference and trade show for the potato industry, has always been the place where growers, suppliers and industry experts come together to connect, grow and share ideas.


Guess The Weight of the Potatoes
The lowest guess was 5 pounds and the highest guess was 1,250,000 pounds! As a part of the Beaver Sports Properties Activation Day, we held a fun contest to " Guess the Weight of the Potatoes !" The winner was Justin Riddle of Grants Pass, OR with a guess of 6,782 pounds! Honorable mention: Alicia H. for her guess of 6,793 pounds-just 13 pounds more than the exact weight! Washington & Oregon Potato Conference took place Jan 24, 2023
There were a few new vendors and a slightly tweaked layout to continue to keep the trade show look and feel fresh. The increasingly popular Ag Innovation Session took place again with an even better presentation of the newest technology and gadgets entering the industry. The general session had more than two dozen information-packed sessions. After a few years of hiatus, there was a keynote address, just before the anticipated baked potato bar.

Senator Bill Hansell (R-Athena) expressed his thanks to Oregon’s potato growers, who donated 36,000 pounds of potatoes – or 18 tons – to the annual Capitol Food Drive.
